 I read all the bad reviews but figured I could rectify any mechanical issues with my tools on hand. Especially since this was significantly cheaper than the next similar models, which had no guarantee they were any better quality.
It arrived in a flat pack that would make Ikea proud! Well packed with styrofoam and cardboard inserts for protection. There was no sign of any damaged pieces.
Assembly was quite straightforward. I notice one review said the casters didn't sit flat on the floor, I did not have this issue but if the fact that the casters screw into place means washers could be added to correct that if it was an issue.
The only drawback was that once complete the top surface leaned slightly to the right. Not bad enough to get in the way of use, but annoying if you're a bit OCD! Out with the squares and levels and everything seemed to be true. Further investigation showed that due to the top support tube being smaller than the bottom tube (to allow for the telescoping height adjustment) there was enough free play to can't the top tube one clamped in position. I tried shims to correct this but at the end of the day adding a couple of washers under the top mount resolved the problem (see second picture).
I've had no issues with the clamp not holding, but then my laptop is not particularly heavy. I've had a lot of use out of this already with a couple of different systems and at various height settings, with no tendency for it to drop at all.
The finish of the top service is not the best but really, who cares? They even threw in a mouse pad with it!
Overall can't beat this for the price.

This little desk is easy to assemble with the instruction included. The height is adjustable even after assemble. Once it get to the correct height, I don't really need to adjusted it anymore, but it is always good to have an option.
The desk itself is compact and minimal, it is perfect for me which I am placing it beside my bed. I do not have much space for it and it just fit in without any issue. The desk is steady with my laptop was placed and there is some cable management hole at the back. It is pretty helpful since I can push my desk to the wall with no gap.
However it may not be good for someone. If you want to place some decoration or a glass of water and some food on it. You won't have enough space when you laptop is there. But it is still good as a laptop desk with extra space for a mouse pad. It is space saving, with some scarification.
I would recommend this desk for people with limited space, it will serve the purpose for holding a notebook for easy access.
